The view from my "office"

An outing to Delft (Netherlands) today. I studied electrical engineering there a very long time ago.

It was cold and rainy while we were in Delft. The sun came out as soon as we returned to our hotel in Den Haag.

The Dutch seem to have had a lot of trouble building or keeping towers straight. This is Delft Oude Kerk (Old Church). At home in Geelong we have a painting of this scene.

By the time they built the Nieuwe Kerk (New Church, everything is new once) they had worked out how to build straight.

Opposite the Nieuwe Kerk on the Markt (Market Square) is the town hall.
