I could have been flown back south to continue, but I'm totally stuffed and want to get home. Client will refund unused airfares, pre-paid hotels etc and fly me back from LAX and I have an excuse to re-visit Sth America at a later time.

Edit ... and besides, Mendoza can still come to me

Very late in the piece I know but this used to be my daily view and 7 years later I still miss it!

I have posted a picky of this barge before, but it is becoming more and more my "office". It is a crossing on the Magdalena River in Colombia that takes about 30 minutes, and there is a comms tower in the area, so for that half hour, I have time to connect to the rest of the world.

Best office in the world

Attending the Australian Institute of Company Directors conference in KUL. Was to be running one of my own programs in the couple of days before, but it got cancelled. Decided to come up the extra days early, and working from my hotel, as a lot of our business is supported from the cloud (although tomorrow mornings Audit and Risk Committee that I am chairing via Skype could be interesting!)
