The view from my "office"

Not so perfect in Perth today. Absolutely still conditions resulted in a huge pall of smoke from all the prescribed burns going on at the moment to settle in overnight. My wife was apparently up all night coughing - I slept like a contented warthog.

From an AFF point of view it seems that a lot of flights were cancelled.

The smoke was even quite evident in the Polly Farmer tunnel and thick along the coast. Light sou’wester was bringing back in what has been lying offshore for the last few days.

At the moment, 1520, the smoke is far worse around my house in Willetton

What an eyesore.. but, I suppose the developer who bought the old Battersea Power Station had to make money somehow....
It’s the one near the end of the Millennium Bridge? If so, I thought Battersea got turned into a Tate-associated gallery, years ago? And with an Elizabeth/ Cross rail station close, it’ll be a good spot, if you are inside, looking out 😊

I went across the Millennium Bridge a few days after it opened when it was in full swing mode. Great experience 🤪

Nope! It's in Battersea, just before you hit London Victoria. You're thinking of near Blackfriars station I'd say ☺️

Mossman Gorge hike and Daintree River cruise today. Truly stunning. FB_IMG_1619785869824.jpgHave moved from Cairns to Port Douglas, staying at Sheraton Mirage. The town is very full. No Vacancy signs up at most places. Couldn't get into the restaurant in the resort for dinner tonight as fully booked. No poolside cabanas available until Wednesday at the earliest. Seems Cairns and Port Douglas really has become the new Bali. QLD long weekend helps too.
