It’s a pleasure. It was hard choosing just 10 photos. There will be more when I get home and write my trip report@VPS: Thankyou for th glimpses of Lincoln Cathedral. I'm looking forward to being there in June for a celebration of the 400th anniversary of William Byrd.
It’s a truly stunning one. Late last century I tortured SYD+1 with an unintentional Cathedrals and ruined Monastery tour of the UK (including Evensong in most Cathedrals and Minsters) to the point that a Linda Blair moment was imminent but we returned to London in the nick of time. Remind me when I get home and I will also give you a listDoing a deliberate cathedrals tour in May. Would you mind giving your list, in some order of wow-ness?
Ludicrous security queue at HBA this morning

PS of the six new check-in kiosks for Jetstar and Qantas, two are working.
Fortunately, there is no bag drop for Qantas or Jetstar so at least we can still use a human if need be.
No doubt! Is it possible the hold up isn’t actually security, but the queue to enter Australia’s favourite airport lounge TM
Yikes! The airport seems to be chockers today (either that or HBA needs to hire more security). This almost reminds me of the hour+ security queue I faced at Christchurch airport back in December. Pity there's no priority queue for QF frequent flyers as is the case in many major ports in Australia!Ludicrous security queue at HBA this morning

Both security lanes open and working pretty efficiently when I could see it near the front of the queue and going through it. Don’t know the reason - maybe there was only one lane open initially or some breakdown earlier, but in any case I think I’ll blame the introduction of the Qantas check-in kiosks .Yikes! Was that before or after the cattle went off to slaughter? That view of the Hobart tarmac is interesting. Exactly the same sort of fencing I saw on my visits to the Maitland Abbatoir in the 70s and 80s.

That’s exactly why we call them the “cattle runs”.
