The view from my "office"

@VPS We are in Ortigia Sicily in September. Any accommodation recommendations?
Places to see and visit?

I will update and it will hopefully keep @RooFlyer happy too,

I'm in a lovely apartment in the centre of Ortigia - it would not suit @RooFlyer because you can hear the people upstairs which doesn't bother me,

Somebody's office view today (not mine)!

The pilot would be going outside the right hand side of the window you will have a magnificent blue sky view of Tasman Island.....and those on the left side a view of the Chinese frigates (although I think they have moved on to the west 😀)

Sometimes I laugh at myself when I stay somewhere budget then stay somewhere nice. Basically I’m not a fan of overspending on accommodation when it’s a late flight in and early flight out. I’d never have known about these places had I not searched through Qantas hotels. I think I wanted something different from the major chain hotels.

Where...?

Where...?
The first one is T2 at Taipei Taiyuan airport and CHO Stay capsule hotel. My EVA flight departed T2 the next morning so it was handy. The second one is Hong Kong The Upper House. It's right next door to JW Marriott which I accidentally walked into as google maps showed them to be the same place but they're just in the same building with different entrances. Oddly they provided me with a room upgrade. I think I get a desk as extra and 10sqm. It was a bit cheaper to fly through to Taiwan. I'm also heading back to Taipei for the 2nd half of the trip then will head back to Sydney via HKG.
