An interesting but sad view today - I was about 15 minutes from Lochinver in Scotland where I was supposed to stay for the night and saw a queue of traffic either side of a small bridge which turned out to be a fatal accident and must have been less than 10 minutes before. 4 police cars, 2 ambulances and the helicopter and when the coastguard landed and ran over to the the road and then switched everything off and waited you knew it wasn't good news. The only other alternative to get to my accommodation was a minimum 90 minute drive over single lane highways into the setting sun so drove back to Ullapool and chanced upon a beautiful B&B - the owner offered to drive me into Ullapool so I could have dinner and a few drinks and get a taxi home.[ATTACH]105165[/ATTACH]
