They've oversold our cruise! And we got the offer!

I'm not a cruiser @Pushka (unless you count something from the '70's) so initially refunds sounded appealing at post#1.
But reading further that you snagged a great deal, are all organised with flights, tours and hotels etc, reckon you will ignore the options and stay as booked.

There isn’t a $12000 difference between balcony and oceanview. That’s just a refund value for us in either 1 2 or 3. Actually because the cruise was selling so well very early the basic balconies became more expensive than ours and oceanview cabins were selling close to what we paid.
Oh I realise, but there is a 12k difference now. That is how I'd look at it anyway.

I wonder if acceptance for that option is based on the size of non-cancellable expenses that one submits
I'm sure AI is all over the various options to minise risk, whether that be financial or reputation. I'm quite fascinated to get data points from the FB group. The outright cancellations were needed to get the ball rolling so they are being done first.
