Thoughts on Todays travel

Thought I would pen some thoughts on todays travel.
I was on a 2pm BNE-SYD which was cancelled. Got a call from Virgin, offering me the 1pm E90 service or a 3pm 738 Service. Took the 1pm flight. Still got my preferred 3D seat. All was good.

In BNE lounge about 20 minutes prior to boarding, I got paged. Walked to desk, I said, " please don't tell me I have been bumped" to which the girl at the desk said "yes, i am sorry you have been, its a full flight, so would seat 2F be ok?" took me a a minute but I had been upgraded to Business. 4 out of 6 seats full.

Meal service, the CS was great, prompt, polite, engaging addressed by name and good for a chat. Meal was a chicken curry not visually appealing but tasted good. did not drink as had work to do.

Gentleman next to me was quiet the opposite. Rude to CS, me and other guests, did not acknowledge anything, too much of a problem for him to move when I needed to go to bathroom, so upon return the CS offered me 1F which I took.

All in all a great VA experience. I just wonder how people can be rude and ignorant to those around them. Frustrating.

Perhaps he should insist on a Window seat if moving is SUCH a hassle... what a tool.

I definitely agree.. Whether.. inflight, in the lounge, on the roads, etc.. it appears.
The courteous consideration tradition of most people in Australia is sadly being eroded.
The arrogance of some & pretentiousness of many, often startles me nowadays.

yes, they recovered your situation which was great, but don't forget the did cancel your flight. Not so go.
