I book cars with Thrifty now and again and I find the website pretty much rubbish. Drops out all the time with 'errors' and often comes up with weird pricing. For example you can make a booking for 24 hours or less for $70 a day and then you go to pay and it will have a total of $140 plus. For some reason it tacks on another day and often the quoted amount when you are selecting is only a "base rate" and all the plus-plus comes on after that.
The other thing that bugs me is that you can't log into the website at all! Everyone else I use has a login so your profile is stored and you can access upcoming and past bookings. I think you can login as a commercial customer but not as a general pleb.
With the auto club discount the pricing is usually the best out there but the website is sending me elsewhere.
I trust it's a work in progress but it's probably like the Virgin website.
