Hey guys, I originally had a ticket from PHL-DFW-SYD. The ticket from PHL-DFW was originally 6pm however it got changed to 6:30 which means I will arrive 9:30pm. The plane from DFW-SYD leaves at 10pm, is it possible to get to Terminal A to Terminal D in time? Do I have to go through security again in DFW like LAX? When I check-in at PHL they should be able to check me in all the way to SYD? as its a QF/AA flight right?

Thanks

Is it one ticket, or two separate tickets?

No security required to transfer terminals at DFW.

One ticket, manageable on QF booking manager.

As it's on one PNR, there is no problem. Chances are they will hold the plane for you if you are late into DFW (give there is no later flight). As it's all on the one ticket you'll be able to get your DFW-SYD boarding pass in PHL. Of course if you are really worried give QF a call and they may be able to move you to an earlier PHL - DFW flight (it would be at no cost as it was AA changed the flight times).

I don't think this is enough time to make the connection and you should look to get an earlier flight out of phl.

if I can interpret the guide I read correctly that the minimum connecting time for domestic to international is 40 mins. qantas should change your booking based on the mct timings.

if your flight from phl is even slightly delayed you may miss your flight, and your bags may also miss the flights. (factor in the arrival time stated will be that of arriving at the gate, they then have to join the air bridge and allow pax to disembark). besides, the run from one terminal to the other does not make a great start to the flight... A to D is actually a fair whack.

I wouldnt bank in qf holding the flight, they already have an exceptionally long flying time. if there is only one passenger late, i dont think they will accrue holding fees.
