Hi

I am about to book a QF Classic or YASA one way EX HKG. I do understand that I need to present my credit card at HKG check in on day of travel.

My question is...when I make the booking will i be ticketed on that day of making the booking and the taxes charged to my credit card OR will this booking be held til I travel when they sight my credit card at the airport and then charge me the taxes

Anyone with recent experience of EX HKG Award would be appreciated especially if you could advise me how long it took from time of making the booking to receiving the emailed ticket/ticketing eg one day ...one week etc

The reason i ask is that 5 tears ago I did the same thing and it would not ticket. I had to call QF in Aust and they ticketed it for me in AUD. They waived the assisted booking fee this time only (even though I booked online) and they suggested I call them to book in future and pay the assisted booking fee. They said that if I did not call them to ticket the booking would be held until I travel which is 7 months away and when I checked in at HKG airport with my credit card sighted then it would ticket and taxes charged

thanks

it should be ticketed within a few days and you card charged for the full amount, i booked an ex-HKG JASA last year this way.
