I have been travelling for work with EK twice a year for 4 years now. Nearly always in premium economy with some business class sprinkled in.. My last flight in April has shown up on my statement with dramatically reduced Tier Miles and Skywards Mlles earnings! See below:
Regular earn for Premium Economy (Gold bonus for Skywards Miles):
New earn for the exact same flight in the exact same class/ticket:
Round trip in PE would net me 28,280 Tier Miles and nearly 46,000 Skywards Miles. Doing this 2 times a year got me over the 50,000 Tier Miles required for Gold Skywards. Now I only earn 18,000 Tier Miles and 29,250 Skywards Miles! This is such a dramatic drop off and puts higher Skywards Tiers out of reach for most people. I don't recall any announcements for this drastic reduction.. Did I miss something?
I think I will do one last trip with Emirates and use up all my Skywards Miles for upgrades and then switch carrier. Very disappointed!
