I am taking a flight MEL to SYD for the day, and with the fares they were offering I struggled to justify the massive price difference. A return fare for the price DJ or QF charge for a one way sector.
Now this may all change when I have the experience tomorrow, and may just never try it again...will wait and see on that.

Now back on topic. I was on my smartphone making the booking for the above flight and was prompted to download the app for android, which I did.

Talk about simple, this has to be IMO one of the easiest apps to use to book a flight, very simple and uncomplicated.

Will DJ get up to speed and have an app that works this easily for android.

It surprises me how complicated some sites can be - it's nice they made it simple.

Does it show timetables?

I'd use if for JQ price beat bookings :p

So they have an app..

but you STILL can't to Web CheckIn with Tiger (unless departing Singapore)

I did not enjoy my tiger experience. No online or even kiosk checkin meantI had to stand in line amd wait for 40 minutes to check in, then wait another 45 minutes for boarding. It took off and landed on time, but the extra time required pre take off was crazy and like the rest of us, I had better things to do with the extra hour I wasted.
My return flight was also Tiger. I got tothe airport, the checkin line was so long, I went to the virgin ticket counter, bougt a one way fligt home for $95 and plonked my butt in the lounge. Took advantage of the ability to take the next flight if available as a platinum and had a much more pleasurable, time worthy experience.

My problem with tiger was the checkin service and pre boarding time allowance, staff, plane, and departure and arrival time were acceptable to the standard I was expecting, and that was to simply get there without the bells and whistles.

I recall Tiger having web check in 2 years ago .. Is my memory incorrect or was it removed for some silly reason?
