ok everyone, I have been slack in my socialising but have got over that and I think we should catch up over a cold beveridge.

The BAM has completed a high speed test run, which was 130km/h for something build in 1939 so all good there.

We're on course for a couple of runs heading into summer, I'll try for one day trip for AFFers and there is the opportunity for a 2 day trip if anyone is up for an 'outback' experience. Will aim for departures and arrivals from Sydney.

Will update as I get organised, as you know the lead times can be long and a pain in the neck.

That is great reason, and as good as any. The BAM has been out of service and needed to be lifted off the wheels and bogies but now all good for some social get togethers.

OH Boy. GPH & ALH are Platinum.

Overnight in a hotel somewhere?

Yes in a way, with a bar that can travel to 115km/h and has red paint on the outside.

Anyone is welcome to visit and have a look at any time......
I've gotten all sentiment telling hubby "He has a Red Rattler and he's put a bar inside it with couches!"

Gosh, talk about blast from the past. My trip to Guildford for my first job was never that comfy

It's all about the now and having trip. The use of private cars is becoming harder and I'll try my hardest to keep them going in what ever form that maybe.

Lucky I'm in a position to keep the mn going. (Any potenaital investors please let me know).

You have your own train car? That is so cool! Do you have to hire an engine to pull it? I'm intrigued!

following with interest :)

I was at Sydney Central station waving you off when the last trip departed. With this opportunity and enough notice I will be "on board" this time.
