Hi I've booked a J reward for a family member. Perth to Mel QF774 Fri 12th Jan. Originally 332 then changed back to 737. Booked on the premise that 774 was always a 332 in late 2023. It seems that in 2024 this has been switched from a Friday to a Sunday flight. Seat is currently 4A which isn't J class on 737, and seat selection not available.

I've set up a airplane change alert but wondering what people's experiences are with aircraft changes, how far out do they normally occur if they do. Holding out hope :)

Thanks

Seems to be happening quite a bit recently to the extent that it could be a bit of a risk booking J awards in a 332 - you'll be first on the downgrade list, as my relatives recently found, if a downgrade occurs, due to the smaller cabin size.

Very very unlikely it will go back to the A330.

This exact reason, which occurred multiple times to me, was the last straw for me flying QF.
