Tokyo Haneda slot - how will Virgin Operate it?

OffT, Citizens of Japan, when they have done their 3 months stint in Aust on a WHV, can stay a 2nd year, they are allowed to leave and reenter Aust, some do stay on for the 2nd year, but for those who are doing farm work up in Northern Qld, and want to go back up to Japan and return, the direct Virgin Aust flight up to HND would suit them.
OnT.

Safety last.
However, It's hard to really know. How do consumers define "safe"? . Generally, the lack of incidents is a good idea and likely the only guide . In reality though, for the average consumer, the difference between safe and unsafe is a disaster. Up until the disaster, everything is safe. One of the problems with a lack of incidents is that it can lead the organisation to assume that what they are doing must be OK, and they rest on their laurels and become complacent and don't continually re-evaluate practices.

It is very easy to make correction after a disaster. Very difficult to do the same before a disaster.

Don't know if it's been mentioned before but looks like no VA lounge access anywhere on the Japan flights.

On this page it clearly mentions under Japan that lounge access is not included but for all other short haul destinations it is.

Seems quite poor they can't at the very least sort something out with ANA in Haneda.

Does anyone know which Velocity status credit earn table applies to domestic sectors flown as part of a VA itinerary to/from Tokyo?

(E.g. PER-MEL-CNS-HND - how many status credits do you get for PER-MEL and MEL-CNS?)

They earn at the same rate as a domestic trip

Do you know where it says this on the Velocity website?

According to this page, that would be the case for domestic flights connecting to trans-Tasman or international short-haul flights. Japan is not listed as an international short-haul destination.

Sorry, I should have stated that it was the information I was provided via phone to the Platinum line. I should know better than to take their word as gospel

Apart from WestJet facing recent problems with their WBs, the other example would be Norwegian Air Shuttle expanding into 789s. Overexpansion as a LCC WB didn't end too well.

Now, if JH was smart, she would jump onto that, ASAP.
Reportedly were the hangar queens of Norwegian's fleet and were one of the earlier 787-9 stocks.
Not surprised those two are earmarked for parting out. Can't see JH or anyone else from struggling airlines willing to buy/pay the lease on those units.

The only potential buyers for those two birds is if cash rich airlines such as QR were interested (Similar to how QR spent the $$$ in maintenance to get the old VA 77Ws up to scratch for their short/medium haul services out of Doha).

No, he was before my time, before I was even a FF member of GlobalRewards, edit: as in the FF program of the former Ansett ).(RIP)
Edit: turns out that the GlobalRewards (name) has been taken over by other organisations, ... so I will put a line through the above.

I know (I guess) I can work it out from a credit calculator, but why oh why can't the Virgin booking portal specify the credits and points earned when trying to consider booking PER-BNE-HND.Seems amateurish tbh.
