737-700 is the short term solution to the MAX issue.
Virgin begins upgrade of 737 business, economy class
There’s something for everyone in Virgin Australia’s second-gen business and economy class.www.executivetraveller.com
I never said they'd use a KLM -700 ... I said they would need to backfill the aircraft (on domestic operations)None of the KLM -700s are EDTO certified and are all Y configured, whereas the 2x legacy VB -700s are EDTO certified.
Doubtful they were full or near full. Some flights are full in business class and that's it. Inaugural flight still has seats to purchase.Where's the sarcastic shocked emoji?
There's gonna be a lot of pax rebooked - assuming the 737-8 flights were full (which they may well not have been, considering VA never zeroed them out).

Do they block off seats for crew rest? I think it was mentioned it was a 4 pilot flight, do they get a business seat?Would be able to fly full capacity Y so it will be comfortable

Yes, that was pointed out a few pages ago.So we are now using alpha numericals for the third (used to be all alpabet) after the Aust disignator VH-8**?
Oh wow, what a flop. I really wish I booked ANA. They had some awesome priced business seats, but I booked Virgin business instead :-(
With the exact same number of J seats it appears if the 737-700s are fine then J is not the issue, Y is 168 vs 120 meaning 48 seats difference to move but aside from that no a major issue unless further load requirements but J would be the last to be bumped! You may well be rebooked onto a superior carrier’s product if they don’t launch on time. Fingers crossed for you.
Maybe there is a stop sell once a certain number are sold rather than a blocking out of seat availability?. Hence not showing on sites like expertflyer? Most Flights would not be at 90% capacity
