Travelling on May 1@FishFood... Depends, When are you traveling? I was checking the visa info last night, and even for Indo native like me i found it quite overwhelming. I couldn't find official information that's written in English though. Basically you will need to apply for 211A visa, have a local Indo sponsor ( i.e. friend, corporation or hotel where you will be staying ) and they have to apply on your behalf. Also showing that they (or you) have at least bank balance equivalent to USD1500.
The visa fee is only USD50 + Rp. 200K if you DIY but I saw agents had offered the service for AUD 400!
Bali to be quarantine-free for int’l visitors mid-March or sooner: senior minister | Coconuts
Not from an official source, but a news article indicates quarantine free travel will resume on March 14
For those travelling to Indonesia on Australian passports, are you applying for a tourist visa in advance or completing the formalities on arrival?
Also, is a transit visa possible? I've seen conflicting information, including that a transit visa is available for up to seven days.
I'm heading there next weekend for the first time in ages. Decided to apply online (yesterday) rather than on arrival. Can only mean one less queue to stand in and not worry about any potential payment hassles. I can't really see any benefit to leaving it do on arrival.

It will be useful to hear how it goes. We’re off to Europe in June over via CGK (o/n) and home via DPS (for a couple of days). I understand it’ll be two visas…This is the official government website. Anything else is a third party scam Indonesian eVoa, This application is used for the issuance of e-VOA for foreigners who will enter Indonesia
I read somewhere that “transit” visas have been pulled. Were they otherwise free v tourist gouge visas?I'll be there in a week and will be enquiring about a transit visa. This website suggests it's possible to get one for seven days, but it's not an official website.

Ok. So US$10 v ~A$50 (or Rup eqv) for the tourist visa.I don't think so, no. One website I found said something like USD10.

Yes, it used to be free to enter Indonesia to transit - you needed to have proof of onward travel out of Indonesia within 48 hours of arriving (and needed to show it at immigration). This wasn't a visa as such, it was actually a visa exemption. This policy was suspended during the pandemic, and hasn't returned since.I read somewhere that “transit” visas have been pulled. Hopefully it returns soon.
