Hi all

Just planning a few trips and I have a SYD-WLG-ALK-SYD trip scheduled. I know the dom flight in NZ will be non-earning (either on JQ or NZ) but what was of most concern was that the SYD-WLG and AKL-SYD flights all seemed to be a 734.

I am just unlucky on the particular flights I chose or is QF now pretty much only using coughpy 734's for teh flight.

I am wrong in assuming that the 734 config used is the same as Oz DOM 734 being the convertible J seats - thus meaning I wont bother trying to upgrade?

The 734 used by Jetconnect have a fitout similar to the Qantas Domestic 73H's with dedicated Business class seating.

There are four such 734 Aircraft; one has Millennium Seating, the other three have the new seating with Personal IFE as found on the newer Qantas domestic 332's.

Technically, you could fly the LAN Chile (Qantas codeshare) flight from AKL-SYD. You would still get the Status Credits/FF points etc and the flight is on a A340. Only problem is that it has a horrible departure time of 5.50am

Yeah - I saw that pop up. Sadly I will be flying at business times being out on the morning flight and home on the evening flight... all QF

Qantas do not normally fly the 73H between SYD and WLG - generally 734 only.

As I posted, these all have dedicated J seating.
