Hi
I currently have 128k in Citi points and have never transferred to Velocity before. I also have around 164k in Flybuy points and there is currently a 15% bonus offer for your first automatic transfer.

Wondering what people have experienced as the amount of time required to transfer from Citi to Flybuys as it makes sense to pool my points together at Flybuys and take advantage of the transfer bonus (which ends at the end of the month). The system says 28 days but spoke to someone from the call centre who said it happens in a day most times. Anyone had recent experience doing this and is my strategy the best way of maximising points?
Thanks

Yes, your strategy is a pretty good way of maximising your Velocity points as it means you can take advantage of the Flybuys bonus offer for both your FlyBuys points and your Citi points.

I've never transferred Citi points to Flybuys. Late last year I transferred Citi points to KrisFlyer and from memory it took less than a day for the points to go through. I'd be slightly surprised if FlyBuys transfers took longer.

Thanks for the reply and giving me confidence that it will go through in time. I will wait to see if anyone responds tonight that has experience with Citi to Flybuys. I think you are right that it should be similar to your time frame.

I have just made the transfer so I will report back on how long it takes. Fingers crossed it gets there before the end of the month

The Citi points have landed in my account in under 24 hours which is great. I can now set up for my first automatic transfer to Velocity. As soon as I turn on the automatic transfer to Velocity from Flybuys, does the transfer go the following day or the next business day? Trying to maximise the points I accumulate before the offer expires at the end of the month.
