Is it possible to convert KrisFlyer miles into Qantas Frequent Flyer points? If not, what are recommendations for using KrisFlyer points instead (bearing in mind i'll probably never earn enough flights to take a flight somewhere
Cheers

No not possible.

How many KF points do you have? Do you have any credit cards that earn points (eg Westpac Altitude, Amex)? We may be able to suggest options.

I'll be getting around 14,000 points for the return flight. It's a work flight so I have no choice who I fly with. I haven't actually joined KrisFlyer but just wondering if it is worth it. Yes I have a cc that earn QFF points

G'day lostempire, welcome to AFF. :D

I believe that once a KrisFlyer mile, always a KrisFlyer mile until redeemed for flights/upgrades ...

You may as well join and get the points; I believe it costs nothing to do so.

You may want to consider joining a different program in Star Alliance. Depends on how you want to make the extra miles for a reward.

I assume your CC goes directly to Qantas FF, so Krisflyer would not be useful. But if you have or are every likely to get any of the following credit cards, Krisflyer is a sound option, as points on these programs can be transferred to KF:
- Westpac Altitude
- American Express (with Ascent rewards)
- Citibank Gold

If not, bmi's Diamond Club, may be a good option (although if you're not flying until September, maybe wait until then to join, as sometimes they have good bonus points for joining. At the moment the special offer is just a chance to win return business class tickets). If you have a hotel stay or car hire to get you to 15,000 miles - 15,000 miles + $220 + taxes should get you a return flight to somewhere in the South Pacific (or 15,000 pts + taxes a one way flight). Or 12,500 miles + $185 + taxes gets a one way flight to SE Asia - if either of these options are of any use to you.
