Transfers to Accor?

I've got a redemption in mind but am short on the number of points required and don't really want to book the most expensive rooms I can find at nearby hotels just to earn the points to then spend them.

I've had a look, but couldn't find much information, are there any partners that transfer into Accor, even if a convoluted routing to get there. I did read that Qatar was a partner, but I think that might be old information. For instance, I have a few hundred thousand MR points from my Plat Charge I could send to an airline that might send to Accor. I'm about 21,000 points short.

Does anyone know a way I can send my points a roundabout way to Accor?

As you have Amex MR you could go via QR Avios. It's still on according to ALL site.
It takes a value hit however

Accor points convert to €40 for 2000 pts off the booked rate anywhere, and you can you mix points and pay if that helps? Assuming you have some points to start with?

Just be aware that some points or pints and pay stays to qualify for some of the promos. eg the current QF / Accor Gold promo.

Doesn’t work for Accor. There are no “aspirational” awards to be had. Just €40 off per 2000 pts - regardless if it’s an Ibis or a Raffles.

Oh, those things. They’re quite new aren’t they? I’ve not look too closely but I’d expect the 2000 pts / €40 conversion to be in play there also.

I saw Matchbox Twenty and the Goo Goo Dolls earlier this year for 6000 points (~€120) in the Accor Suite at Qudos Bank Arena, bottomless alcohol, buffet starter/main/dessert, great seats. So that's about AUD$195... it was seriously good value. I notice some shows cost more; others cost less.

I don't think I'm going to manage to piece together the points needed, so what I was actually looking at was a box experience to the British and Irish Lions tour of Australia next year. It's at Sydney Olympic Park for the final match and would be the equivalent of €700 (AUD$1137) / 35000 points, which I believe is far cheaper than a ticket would have cost to a box there for that match.

I must take a closer look! Given the nominal value of the points, it’s pretty easy to work out the value (as you’ve pointed out).

After a week staying at Fairmont Montreux for the music festival this July - I will have a nice stash and Platinum status. I am all about experiences.
