Transfers to SPG

Hi All,

I've made a number of transfers from MR recently and wanted to know if anyone has the same issue as me, these were mainly to SPG and SQ. For some reason one of these (to SPG) is still sitting as in progress, even though I have done transfers to SPG before (and indeed once since has worked).

Anyone else had this?

I've just requested a transfer to SPG tonight and so will let you know how it goes.

Not exactly SPG, but I've had some weird issues from Amex to CX (Asia Miles) transfer before. Usually, the transfers from Amex to CX are done on Monday and Fridays so the most it would take is around 3 days, if you lodged your request on Friday night after you've missed the Friday transfer cutoff (so it'll be done on the Monday run).

This used to work like clockwork however around 3 months ago, I lodged a request for 2 of my accounts online (I've 2 Membership Rewards profiles) to transfer to CX and both transfers literally took around 3 weeks to complete, which made me loose my booking with CX. I still haven't found out the reason why this has happened as every time I called, the rep seemed to read the rules again and told me that it'll go on the next 'run' and I'd make no further progress than that.

I did get some extra points out of Amex out of this issue however, as I lodged a complaint after I completed my travel.

Anyway, the thing is back to normal now where I'm getting the transfers within the usual timeframes so this is just to say that sometimes these delays to happen...

I just checked my SPG account and the Amex points have already transferred in - so, all up, took less than 48 hours.

Yes, that's the case with most of my transfers, just not this one, still sitting there 1 week later,

Has finally worked for me, 8 days later.

Just in time for me still to be able to transfer to AA and get that 20% bnus so alls well that ends well!
