Another one would be: "Don't waste time reading dumb articles about what not to do in hotels".

Does anyone here not touch the remote? I'm conscious not to do anything massively stupid after touching it such as cook food or anything without washing my hands, but that's the same at home too....I guess I'm not that cough...

After reading this line : " Private hotel rooms are a surprisingly public space, shared by several thousand strangers each year." I wanted to stop reading the article....

I am 49 and still alive and I have stayed in some questionable places.

I eat in the room, I watch television, I mostly sleep on the bed but sometimes under the sheets, I don't use minibars unless I am desperate, I do not drink tap water and when I brush my teeth the toothbrush is cleaned with bottled water.

I do get paranoid occasionally about leaving things laying around (so I lock my luggage, that is not likely to lock serious criminals but....) and if I started worrying about everything then I may as well just stay home....
