Hi,

My wife are travelling to the US/Canada in May/June 2012. We are likely to leave on Friday 18 May and return on Friday 15 June. There is an Air NZ flight on wotflight for around $1465 return. Is this cheap or should I wait for a few months to see if prices will be cheaper. May/June does seem to be their shoulder season.

Regards

Michael

That sounds like a pretty good fare to me. I would not be expecting to see much saving below that and I personally would not risk missing out. You may be lucky and find something a little cheaper later, but it won't be much less. For me the risk of the fare going up would warrant paying committing now and knowing I am locked in. Then I would take the attitude that if there is a lower fare later I will not be concerned and satisfied that I have had the peace of mind to be locked into a good fare and not had to be anxious.

I travel a bit with NZ.. and I am going to book for May/June this week...

I'm with NM.. it's a pretty decent fare.... have a look at fares after 16 June ()

I will book this week then. I am seeing if Flight Centre will match the quote I received off wotflight.:p

Take it!

No question about it.

The only months that are likely to be cheaper are Oct-Nov or Feb-Mar.

It's always a good time to book a flight to San Francisco. :)

I'd book now, not a bad price.

Thanks everyone for your advice. We have booked our flights via Flight Centre for Air New Zealand to San Francisco.:D
