Travelling with Two Seperate Tickets

I have booked a Business Class Emirates ticket out of Singapore to Athens.

And then I have separately booked, using my Qantas FFs, a business class ticket from Perth to Singapore.

I was just wondering if Qantas will forward my luggage all the way from Perth to Athens? And will they issue all my boarding passes?

I think they call it through checkin ? But I will have two separate tickets and two different PNRs.

It would be nice not to deal with luggage at Changi Airport if I have to go through immigration (I’m not sure about that either).

Has anyone done this before?

Thanks!

My understanding is the QF to EK with through check bags on separate tickets. Nothing for you to do in advance, just provide the booking reference to the Qantas check in agent at Perth.

QF will do it when you have a separate ticket on EK, but in general most airlines will not do it, sometimes not even to a separate ticket on themselves.
