Trying to book international business reward seat

I was quoted something like 2 million points to fly from BNE to LAX in April, and the website showed all "Business saver" and "Premium saver" sold out. Is this normal? I have never used Virgin to book reward seats so is there a better way of getting a business seat on virgin?

That's converting points at poor value (points plus pay or similar).
