Late last Monday night, before the 21st midnight deadline, I made a booking with QF for flights BNE-SYD-NAN-vv. I received an email confirmation from QF of the booking. Only one charge has been made on my credit card.
But when I log in to my bookings in the QFF site, I see two booking refs for us, both covering the same flights, with the same seats booked. But one is asking for contact info (already provided on the other booking). Otherwise, they are identical. I think perhaps the seats aren't selected for BNE-SYD//SYD-BNE on the second one.

Should there be duplicated bookings like this? Each has a different unique booking ref, but the first two characters are the same, fwiw.

Thanks!

I have the exact scenario on my bookings page, so phoned Qantas and they informed me that because the flights are with Air Pacific it will show two bookings.

Nothing to worry about apparently!

I"ve also had this happen with my bookings when it's a QF booking (ie 081 ticket stock) but involves carriers other than QF. My Booking to LHR for Saturday appears twice as there is 2 BA segments. Strangely though, I cannot view the BA segments on their website (using either Amadeus reference).

I can confirm that it's nothing to worry about as have flown on a few such bookings now.

Cheers

It happens when you have a booking with eg QF flight number operated by FJ. As they both use Altea behind the scenes you can see the operating PNR as well in your FQTV profile. Nothing to worry about.

Thank you all so much. :)
Now that I read your responses, they sound familiar; I should have searched before asking. :D
