I’m trying to transfer two lounge passes to a friend and her family member but keep getting a message that the frequent flyer accounts don’t match the details. Has anyone had this problem and if so can advise the solution?

My friend has rechecked the details for me and assures me they’re correct. One is a 7 digit frequent flyer number and the other is 10 digits. Any tips or tricks would be welcome as the frequent flyer portal has not been at all user friendly lately.

I had the same issue. It took a few goes entering the exact same details and logging in again before it worked, all on the same browser.

When I have had this message it was something in the name that was wrong not the QFF number

I can't transfer using the app. If I login to website on a PC and do it, works every time.

Thanks everyone for the tips. I tried on the app and also in the browser on my phone but finally logged into QFF from a PC and had no problems.

So many glitches, mostly unexplained, recently. Getting very frustrating!

I had the exact same issue and ended up calling the service line - got through to the lovely Karen in Hobart and fixed in a jiffy! My niece had a big adventure coming up - teaching in the UK for a year and thought it would be a nice way to start her trip in the Mel first class lounge.

I was giving away a lounge pass ad had this happen yesterday. The recipient researched and found this thread. Definitely did not work logging into the QF website on an iPad (not the App). As I am overseas at the moment and have no access to a PC, I telephoned QF at a cost of $5 for calling when overseas. The nice guy didn’t question the problem I was having, so obviously this is a well known issue! He manually transferred the pass, so job done. But really, shouldn’t this issue be fixed by now? It took a lot of time and effort by both parties to sort this out, and that shouldn’t happen.

Hi all,

Tried this morning to transfer a Qantas complimentary lounge general pass to a mate.

Got this weird error "Unable to find the Qantas Frequent Flyer member. Please check the details and try again."

Checked all details and they were correct. Tried with my missus whose details I knew and it failed too. Thought I'd give it a few hours but it's failed every time (I've tried periodically during the day and it's night now). Also tried with different browser, device etc

Anyone else having this issue?

Update: posted this prematurely it seems. Went through the usual cycle on phone and it all failed, but then tried on laptop and it worked (windows 11, edge browser).

I am trying to transfer a lounge pass but get an error message to check the number.
I have checked and it is ok. What is the work around? Thanks

Edit. I have been able to transfer the pass via Chrome. Seems to not like IOS.

Known issue using the app.
Had the same issue. Ended up needing to ring.

Apparently, like you found it works via PC browsers. When you said it works via Chrome, was this on a PC?

Am trying to transfer lounge passes and all I get is "Unable to find the Qantas Frequent Flyer member. Please check the details and try again.".

The QFF number IS correct. Someone trying to transfer a lounge passes to me is having the same error come up and again the QFF membership number is correct.

Any idea how to solve? It's happening on phone and laptop.

The issue has been reported in a few threads.
