Late last year I planned a OW RTW journey and booked this through the Nadi QF Office. I then told the office that we weren't going to proceed - however the bookings were still appearing under "My bookings" on the website.

Fastforward a few months and the original departure date has come & gone. I have since noticed that the J JFK-LHR and the J BUD-AMS flights have credited to my QFF account - odd, considering I never stepped foot on those flights.

Has anyone else had this happen before? Do QF usually pick up on these things, and reverse the credits?

In 1997 I did an extended US & Europe trip - according to my activity statement:)

I wonder if someone did travel those flights with your boarding pass. Perhaps someone with a similar name, and when handed a J boarding pass they did not complain and enjoyed the flight.

There used to be a trick with a certain FF scheme where booking tickets a certain way and then not flying actually would often end up crediting.

The systems aren't foolproof and mistakes happen.

(Note that loophole has been closed I believe, and didn't affect crediting of points to QF).

If anyone has a guilty conscience over points that may or may not have been incorrectly earned, I am willing to adopt them as a "family member". Transfer those ill-gotten points to me and thy conscience (and soul) will be cleansed without a single Hail Mary needed.

Happy to be of assistance.

Haha, why didn’t I think of that!

But then I would have a guilty conscience of tranferring points to a "non family member". ;)
