1. To participate in the offer, you must be a Hilton HHonors™ member and register at HHonors | Error. Membership is free. You must have Virgin Atlantic Airways selected in your HHonors profile as your preferred airline, prior to booking your Hilton Worldwide stay. In order to earn bonus miles, HHonors members must select from two Double Dip® Earnings Style options: HHonors Points and Variable Miles or HHonors Points and Fixed Miles Hilton HHonors® - HHonors® Points & Miles - Double Dipping®.


2. Only stays completed after registration will be eligible for Flying Club miles award. Points cannot be retrospectively applied.

3. HHonors members choosing HHonors Points and Fixed Miles award will earn 10 HHonors Base Points per eligible U.S. dollar spent plus 1000 or 200 or 100 Miles (as applicable) per stay. Please visit Hilton HHonors® - HHonors® Points & Miles - Earning Miles or ask at the time of booking for details of the fixed points awarded at your chosen hotel. Members will also be awarded the following Flying Club bonus miles per stay:
• 1st stay: 1,000 bonus miles
• 2nd stay: 2,000 bonus miles
• 3rd stay: 3,000 bonus miles
• 4th stay: 4,000 bonus miles
• 5th stay: 5,000 bonus miles
• From 6 stays and more – members will be awarded the standard stay miles only.


4. HHonors members choosing HHonors Points and Variable Miles award, will earn 10 HHonors Base Points plus 2 Flying Club base miles per 1 USD spent, plus the following Flying Club bonus miles per stay:
• 1st stay: 1,000 bonus miles
• 2nd stay: 2,000 bonus miles
• 3rd stay: 3,000 bonus miles
• 4th stay: 4,000 bonus miles
• 5th stay: 5,000 bonus miles
• From 6 stays and more – members will be awarded the standard stay Points and Miles only.

It doesn't look a bad offer to me. Does anyone juggle these? Change your profile from variable to fixed miles and back again depending on the cost/benefit of a particular stay? I guess it is hard to get the timing right with consecutive stays in different hotels.

Not a bad way to clock up 1/2 of a one way J to HKG

I assume this needs to be a revunue stay to qualify? i.e. cash+points does not qualify?

Offer looks great but unfortunately room rates are ridiculous for most Hilton Hotels at the times I am travelling.

Funny thing happened. I got credited the bonus miles for the stay the day I received the email and registered. This means that I will have 3 stays by the end of the year which means that stays 4 and 5 are worth 4,000 and 5,000 miles each.

I will now book the extra 2 nights towards the end of the year and use the miles towards a Premium economy redemption SYD-HKG. I think it is worth trying out.

Yes PE is worth trying on VS if you haven't tried but J is still better hehe

Same with me. I have the first 4 stays done and dusted and the miles in the bank. 5th stay comes in November. With the 2 miles per dollar I'll earn 25000 altogether. Even at the miimum (1000 miles per stay) it's 20000 miles over 5 stays in total.

So I have completed my 5 stays and would have expected to receive the 15,000 bonus miles. Nope.

I have received the 1,000 bonus miles, the 2,000 bonus miles and 3,000 bonus miles. It would appear 4,000 bonus miles have posted on Hilton account and waiting to be transferred. No sign of the 5,000 bonus miles though.

Interesting to note the stay in Brisbane Hilton in December has posted as an eligible stay but without the Virgin Atlantic double dip and only received Hhonors points.

So I have completed my 5 stays and would have expected to receive the 15,000 bonus miles. Nope.

Chase them up. All five of mine posted correctly some weeks ago, including the double dip miles.
