Just thought I'd check in to see if we have any recent developments in Hobart regarding the refurbishment of the best in class* Qantas Club lounge at Hobart airport? Per the Qantas website it seems like refurbishment is now underway with a temporary lounge now in place:

From 3 April 2025, our Hobart lounge will relocate to a temporary space as part of Hobart Airport’s terminal redevelopment. Customers can access the temporary lounge near Gate 5, adjacent to the current Qantas Club.

Which I think begs the question, how does the temporary lounge compare to the former Qantas Club? Is it any more spacious? Are the views any better?

It is interesting to note that Qantas does not mention how long this refurbishment process will take. Clearly they seem to be doing more than adding a couple of chairs and a new sandwich machine to the lounge as a relocation is necessary.

There are pics and discussion of the current temporary HBA QP in another thread. Can't find right now. Its not bad.

I was told in the the temp lounge that it will be around for 12-18 months - so 18+ months.
