I think there are quite a few of this type of book around,I would be interested to read it but not willing to pay good money in case it's a load of doodoo.
I did get an email last week that invited me to apply for the
"Premium Passenger Card" that nobody is aware of !

My personal opinion is that it's likely to be either complete BS or outdated information.

From what i've seen in the past, most of these are very US based, which isn't often that helpful for AU based pax.

I'd be curious to read it, but like others, theres no way i'm throwing money at it.

General opinion on FT... for "FT'ers" at least.. is that these do NOT provide anything you can't find elsewhere/didn't already know...

I have no personal expereince mind.... but that is certainly my impression from reading FT!!!!

In my opinion it would be a waste of money and would not provide anything of value that you could not find on AFF.

Did you know it is possible to upgrade to first or business class on an economy budget?

Upgrade to first on an economy budget? Enough said....

I couldn't agree more John, I think it's all sales spin and a good dose of BS in my opinion.

God knows if there was a way to consistently score for OP-UP's and fly First on an economy budget someone on here would have found it.

It will be very US focussed and say things like: dress well and smile politely when you ask the gate agent if there are any spare seats in First Class.

As anyone who travels in the US knows, they make announcements at the gate to stop people asking by saying "everyone in First Class has checked in" They also have those ridiculous name boards with names in order of who is on the upgrade list.

If people were that desperate to travel in First Class you would think that they would but a ticket in First!

On a semi-related note, a couple of weeks' back I heard one gate supervisor spruiking for first class upgrades! He was offering them for $250 each on a flight a few hours long. It did seem odd to me though as I figured you would have purchased the better fare if you'd wanted it, the benefits were fairly meagre, and the cost premium still fairly significant. He didn't get any takers that I heard of.
