Upgrade from red e-deal at all??

Hi there everyone!!

Just a quick question...and im new here so be easy on me lol....

I work in the mines so do FIFO work mostly MEL to ADL and seem to be booked on the "red e-deals" frequenly, I just purchased a QC membership and was wondering whether that would in any way give me a chance at upgrading at all?? Has anyone heard of this happening?

Most red edeals are not in a fare class thats upgradable, sometimes QF runs a promo that allows this but its still rare.

As markis10 said (beat me to it), most red e-deal fares are not in a fare class for which upgrades are permitted, even as a member of the QP (that's the acronym here for the Qantas Club).

The rules for upgrades (both flight and ODU's within the QP) can be found in Sections 16 and 17 of the QFF T&C's. Further information on ODU's and which fare classes upgrades are permitted on can be found within the QP website.

Depending on your flying frequency and the capacity needs on your flights, you may be lucky enough to receive an op-up (operational upgrade) now and again. The further you climb the status tree and the busier the flight you're on, the better chances you have of the op-up gods being nice to you. You can search around these parts for more information on op-up's.
