Just curious about what peoples understanding is when offered an upgrade for $ when picking up your rental car.

Last week at the Coast i was offered an upgrade to a brand new Merc GLC for $30 per day. My original rental was $221.00 for 4 days including charges.

When i got my invoice my cost was $418.00 So it was $30 per day plus charges.

I was expecting an additional $120 not $198.

First time i used this company and i feel a little exploited.

SA and we were offered an "upgrade" from a booked SUV to a Merc of some sort.... for an extra $$ per day. Not much of an "upgrade offer" if I have to pay for it. We declined

If you weren't told the final amount and didn't sign for it then there was no financial consent. You are able to contest this, though it's probably not worth it.
