Hi all, I'm getting a bit mentally challenged here and I think it has something to do with end of month!

I need some help working out how much i need to spend to get silver...

I have 6545 points at the moment and i need 13455 to get silver which leaves me (6545 - 13455) 6910 points short. Now to change that into a dollar figure i get (6910 / 5 (as i get 5 points per dollar being a NR)) $1382 to spend before i get silver. Now as i like to break things down even further, my year runs out in Nov so therefore i need to spend ($1382 / 5 months) $276 to get it?

Is that right?

To keep Silver how many point do i need to get?

EDIT: I actually need 20,000 points not 13,455 (13,455 is 20,000 - 6545) which leaves me having to spend $538 to get it (this was the figure i had in mind and hence the reason why i put this post up because it didnt make any sense...)

Hi,

You actually need 20,000 Status Credits - not Points to make it to Silver. You earn Status Credits at the same rate as Points on flights with Virgin Blue, Polynesian Blue and Pacific Blue. (You'll soon be able to earn Status Credits with V Australia too).

Your current Status Credit Balance & dollar spend to achieve Silver would break down as follows:

Status Credits Needed20,000Current Balance6,545Variation13,455$ Spend to Achieve$2,691.00

Hope that helps.

Kind regards,

Ricky
