Hi all,

I decided to treat myself and use some points to upgrade my seat.

The only option available was waitlist, so I selected that and logged off the site.

About 10 mins later I received an email saying my flight was eligible for the Upgrademe bid option.

Is this just a coincidence, was this triggered by my selection?

Also does the upgrademe optiom trump any waitlisted points upgrades?

One other thing is my existing seat selection reserved if the waitlist doesn't come through?

Cheers,

Steve.

I *think* I've read before that UpgradeMe Bids get priority over wait-listed points-upgrades from Red and Silver velocity members.

We are waitlisted for next week's flight to LA. I didn't bother with the Upgrade me bid, as it is a rather large hike up from the PE fares we already paid for.

Our current PE seats remain secure and won't be reassigned unless our waitlist is successful. Apparently, your waitlist will take priority over your bid, but I don't think it trumps a higher status member with a similar request. That's why the WP's get first nibble, followed by SG.....
