Pondering a flight to LHR going via Syd to Melbourne to Singapore and then the flight would meet up with QF1. QF2 home directly to Sydney
It is all on one booked ticket as a suggested flight by the Qantas system . However wondering how I would go with requesting upgrade on the trip.
If I want to upgrade at all would it be over the full three legs ? One domestic, two international
Yes going to Melbourne cause I haven't seen their first class loinge lol..one to tick off

Each change of flight number would be a separate upgrade request, so SYD-MEL, MEL-SIN, SIN-LHR and LHR-SYD would be separate upgrade requests.

Make sure you wait till you get your e-ticket email before requesting upgrades otherwise they will get stuck in the queue.

The upgrade page on QF website gives the option to request upgrade on individual legs ... so you can request upgrades only for one of the international (longer ones perhaps)
