Will be going CNS to HK April flying CP direct both ways economy, can I use Q FF points to upgrade to J?.

If it can be done how many points per seat?.

Also, for some time now CP is not shown on Q FF site but was told last time I enquired, not on Q FF site due to incompatibility problems, but can book seats (if avail.) but they take something like 5000 points for booking it.

Assuming CP is CX (Cathay Pacific) ?

If so, you cannot use QF points to upgrade a CX flight

However you can book award tickets on CX for 2,500 fee phone service fee. Not sure what the 5,000 is

Yes was CX, had a look and see that now must have Q flight No. to upgrade,

Couldn't remember if it was 2500 or 5000 thanks.

Not only QF flight number, but must also be operated by Qantas, so cannot upgrade QF codeshare flight operated by another airline using Qantas FF points.

Going CX me and good woman (2 fares) and J class CNS to HGK return how many QFF points would i get?.

You only earn QF FF points on YOUR ticket. The "good woman" will need her own QF FF account to earn points on her ticket.

The number of points earned depends on your QF FF status.

Its all explained on the Qantas FF web site.
