Upgrading a sector earns which SC's?

Hi Everyone, Excuse the Noob Question.

If I upgrade a say MEL/SYD leg with FF points, do i earn J class SC on that sector, SC from my original booking class, or no SC at all?

(e) Points and Status Credits will be earned only for the class of service that has been purchased, rather than the upgraded class of travel;

You'll earn points/SCs based on the original booking class. Sometimes upgrades don't post properly (e.g., they post as if they were a redemption), but a quick e-mail or phone call to the QFF service centre fixes that.

That exact thing has hapened constantly to me when upgrading to LHR - and, as you also said - a quick call to the Service Centre either back here or the London office has fixed things up for me each timeon-the-spot: something to do with a computer hassle.
