Can't seem to find any information readily available on this, and would rather not sit on the phone for hours with VA if I don't have to.

We have tickets booked SYD - LST, HBA- SYD in my for my wife and daughter (travelling as a lap infant) which I used a future flight credit to book. Booking was all good, from memory we are booked SYD - LST as an Elevate fare class and HBA - SYD as a Freedom class but when I try to upgrade with points online it is unavailable.

Now I have never travelled with an infant before so I am not sure if this inability to upgrade online is linked to the use of a Future Flight Credit or to the infant booking. Is anyone able to shed any light on this??

Thanks!!

I believe you need to call Virgin to upgrade flights booked using a Future Flight Credit - can't be done online, unfortunately.

I made some bookings using future flight credits and was able to upgrade.

I did try using the online tool but the option to do this with Plarinum upgrades was not available.

I could have upgraded online with Velocity points.

Since I had to call to use the Platinum upgrades, I did with success.

Yep just rang them yesterday, no availability at the moment SYD-LST but we're all booked in for HBA-SYD for baby Lenny's first business class experience, and more importantly more room for mum and dad and no seatmate :D

Fingers crossed something opens up SYD-LST!!
