Hi guys,

I'm planning on going overseas next year, and was wondering if i go through a travel agent to book my airfares, can i upgrade to business class using my qf points? Or do i need to book through the qantas site?

How does the upgrade work?

Thanks

No reason why you can't use your points to request an upgrade just because you book through a travel agent - but you'll need to make sure the fare they book for you is an eligible class - usually the really cheap fares (sale fares and some of the cheaper red e-deals are not eligible)

You sure can request upgrades for bookings made through a TA... I've done it myself in the past...
Make sure that they book you into an upgradeable class (could discount using cheap \ sale fares like Rebekkap pointed out) and that they add your FF number to the booking. Once that FF number is part of the booking you can access the booking on the QF website the same as if you'd booked the entire flight on QF...

Thanks guys. Will the tavel agent know what i mean when i ask for an upgradable ticket?
