I know that this may not be the correct area to put this question to anyone, but i hope that someone with some knowldge can point me in the right direction.

I Travel to israel every couple of years. 2 years ago I rented a usb modem for approximately $100 US for 1 month plus VAT. last time i went i tried looking through the interent to find usb modems to buy in israel but could not. I am going again next month (for 27 days), again i am looking to do the same thing. I think it is ridiculous that i have to pay $5 USD per day to rent a USB modem.

I did look at Orange and it looks like i can buy a usb modem (but my hebrew is pretty bad) cananyone help on what to do?

Don't bother. Buy a Vodafone Pocket Wifi 2 and unlock it. It will take any SIM, and you can use it on all 3G networks. You then connect your devices to it.
850Mhz - Telstra, Vodafone AU and AT&T in the US
900Mhz - Optus, Vodafone AU and many European 3G networks
2100Mhz - Telstra, Optus, Vodafone AU and Asian, European and other country 3G networks

Buy VODAFONE Pocket WiFi2 Pre-Paid BroadBand | Read Reviews | Dick Smith Online Shopping
Unlocking is $25 or $75 from Vodafone, or cheaper elsewhere (look at Whirlpool for solutions)
