Not long now until I join many others in cancelling my platinum charge card for well documented reasons.

Before I do, I want to make sure that I've actually grabbed any benefits the cards provides, such as the CX gold status, SPG gold etc. These are the only two I'm aware of, and to be honest not sure if there is any point in in the CX status as I'm QFF WP?

Is there anything else we should sign up for before we pick up the phone to say "bye bye amex"?

I've already canned my card, so can't look it up, but I got a Carlson Gold membership, and I am pretty sure there was an a-club platinum on offer.

Dont they cancel all your memberships to these clubs when you cancel your card.

Because my priority pass stopped working straight away after canceling

Lol but if you want to go through all the hassle you can sign up for everything here americanexpress.com.au/platinum

FWIW, I downgraded my platinum to green last Sep. My Marco Polo gold, SPG gold, MyUS memberships are still active to this day. Not sure about Priority Pass as I've not used it but the card expires Jun 2013. I am not sure what Amex policy is with regards to cancelling platinum benefits once you cancel your card.
