Hi,

So at the moment I've got free lounge invitations from attaining Silver. I've got an upcoming flight from Melbourne > Singapore > Seoul, with a 4.5 hour transit time in Singapore. The flight was booked on Qantas but unfortunately SIN > Seoul is on Asiana. When I try to claim my free lounge access, it only shows Melbourne lounge and not the Singapore one.

So, are lounges access only available prior to a flight and not on transit? or is there some other reason why it doesn't show up? I'm getting gold in a month's time so these complimentary lounge access don't hold value to me anymore, and I really would like the lounge access while I wait 4.5 hours for my next one in Singapore. Is this how it normally works (for future booking reference) or some sort of draw system when it comes to redeeming the lounge invite.

Thanks!

Next onward flight that day must be on a Qantas^, Emirates^, Jetstar Airlines+ or oneworld operated and marketed flight.#

I always assumed any flight booked on Qantas.com would be either a Qantas operated flight, or a oneworld partner operated flight. My flight from Singapore > Seoul is using Asiana Airlines which I just googled and is part of Star Alliance - a competing group? My mind is now quite boggled as to how this is even possible.

I think you have your answer. Not going to be an option unfortunately.

While the lounge would be nice for that length transit, Changi airport is one of the best for general passengers to be comfortable, with plenty of reasonably priced food and beverage options and a good deal of free entertainment. The QF lounge in the early evening is a total zoo so if that's when you'd be there you'd be better off outside (albeit without free food and drink)!

Even if the flight to Seoul was marketed and operated by an oneworld airline other than QF, your complimentary lounge invite still wouldn’t be of use.

As an aside, this is the banner currently on the complimentary lounge invite page
