Using Kris flyer points/Star alliance points

I want to use these points to go to Auckland/Sydney or Sydney/Auckland.It seems Singapore airline will not accept them and Air New Zealand says book through Singapore Airlines who say I cannot use these points on this route.

Should be able to.

Maybe the date you nominated is full? ie there are only a limited amount of Awards seats per flight, and others may have already booked them.

Use the ANA tool to check availability.

Should be able to Kris Flyer points on Air New Zealand flights.

Booked SYD-AKL-CHC for a friend several years ago.
