Hello AFF community,

My sister and I have booked on a HAL cruise departing Buenos Aires 30 January 2021, docking Santiago de Chile 19 February 2021.

We want to use our Qantas frequent flyer points into Buenos Aires and out of Santiago.

Will it be possible to fly from Santiago to Buenos Aires using points now that Latam is leaving the One World Alliance this year?

I have seen flights from Buenos Aires via Mendoza and into Buenos Aires domestic airport. This would be OK if it is possible make and confirm such a booking.

We don't mind paying QF to make our bookings to ensure our flights go according to plan. I've had experience of South American airlines being unreliable.

We look forward to hearing your accumulated wisdom. Many thanks, Pamela

Yes, LATAM will remain a Qantas Frequent Flyer partner so you can still redeem Qantas points to fly with them next year (just not as part of a Oneworld product).

You can also redeem Qantas points to fly with KLM between Santiago and Buenos Aires.

What good news. Thank you very much Matt. Now I know exactly what to ask QF reservations. Pamela
