Don't know whether anyone here also gets Travel Daily, but today's edition features photos of V Australia's business class and premium economy seats. Happy to put photos up if there is any interest and mods allow.

Looks sensational. Can't wait to see V Australia flying BNE-LAX :)

Cheers

I thought V would take the opportunity to do something a little special, looks like they have not. J will be 2-3-2 and a fairly standard fairly tight J product I believe from Weber. The Premium economy seat looks like a reject from Aeroflot :)

PE chair looks well out of the 1960s... I agree with the Aeroflot comment.

Looks like the V Aus jet and the QF A380 are going punch for punch on wackiest seat colour schemes

Not that i expected anything else but the Y+ looks ok, the J look well just like any other J out there in the last few years, nothing special there.

My guess its no better or worse than the QF.

Does anybody really care what color seat they sit in ??? i only care its comfortable and clean.... then again the QF colors to me look good and interesting.

Not very impressive, look as if Virgin have done them on the cheap.

Virgin are going to find it very hard if they want to compete with QFs Skybed and Premium Economy superior product.

J seats look to be on a par with Skybed Mk2 (except for the size of the pillow!!!), but I am surprised they opted for leather on the PE seats - esp when the J seats look to be cloth covered.

I have read many comments (for other airlines such as Jet* *Class) about leather being 'sweaty' when you try to sleep on it and fine for a day flight, but not ideal for overnight flights. I have found this myself with AA's J across the Atlantic (although that was a daytime flight).

I think the arm rests give Y+ a more Y feel than the likes of BA, QF and VS's products.

de gustibus non est disputandum....

It will be interesting to see a shot of the cabins to get a better idea.

If it is the seat I think it is then it is both shorter and narrower than the QF Skybed. With UA soon to introduce their new flatbed and with V Aus not being part of *A or OW I think they will struggle to attract business with these products, unless they really drop the price.

Hmm - would be nice to see the J seat without the sheet.

I dont like a 2-3-2 set up but if I fly this it would be paid personal travel so flat and price and food will be a major factor more than seat...
