When having a quick look at the Lounge Access section of the V Australia site, I noticed that it listed the lounge access for 'V Australia Lounges'. Does anyone know if V Australia branded lounges will be coming soon to VA international lounge locations, or for that matter, whether they will simply extend "The Lounge" offering to international terminals?

I'm unenlightened too.

If flying from NZ to (now) Sydney and then to LA, are we stuck in international transit area with no way out? Is there a V Lounge there: Customs refused to let us leave (even if using an Aussie Passport) that little transit area and I can't recall if there was a Virgin lounge or not.

In Sydney, i think there's access to the Malaysian Lounge for velocity gold or business class passengers. I think?

Yeah, but I'm assuming the Malaysian Lounge can't really be called a V Australia Lounge, so the reason for my question. Guess we will find out in time.

They have updated this recently

V Australia > Lounge Access

They will be sharing lounges out of MEL soon!

This is another reason not to fly VA, very poor/non-existent lounge access! But that's a rant for another thread.

I would think given the increasing amount fo DJ flights (up to 7 on Fridays) ex SYD as well as the VA, VS flights would make SYD a nice candidate for a lounge in international. (That could also be used by the likes of Delta and HA)

Not sure whyt he cant use the EK lounge in BNE/MEL... woudl of thought the ever closer relationship between the 2 would permit it?!?!

the folks have an LAX-MEL flight with V later this year, they have no status. The question is,, are they able to buy a pass to the shared lounge in LA? Could they buy it through V?
Or, does anyone know who V share the lounge with? Maybe they could buy a pass from the actual lounge operator?

You can't buy a pass through V Australia AFAIK. At the LA end they use the Alaska Airlines boardroom. I don't know if you can buy access there or not. You will probably need to investigate that.

excellent. Handy to know they use alaskan. Will look on alaskan website to see if pass can be bought.

And if I had of read the V Webiste closer (hard on a mobiel i guess, I would have seen that.

Anyway, went to the alaskan website and they have day passes available for $30 each. Went through the rules, and could not find anywhere that you had to be flying with Alaskan or a partner airline on the day!!!
Has anyone else had an experience with the Alaskan Boardroom in T3 LAX? Anyone else been travelling on another airline and used their boardroom?

Thanks
