VA DSC flight booking rescheduled

I was to fly this morning from MEL-OOL and OOL - AKL which was booking to get the DSC credits. However yesterday night I got a message saying the flight from MEL - OOL was cancelled and was given a different itinerary which I was [un]able to accept because of prior commitments.

However now I have been rescheduled to next week with the same itinerary. So what I wanted to check with experts here is to validity of the double status credits for my booking. The booking reference number does not change however the latest ticket issuing date is 6th Mar ( yesterday).

Appreciate your insights into this or do I have to fight this out with velocity to give double status credits as it was not my mistake.

I guess the reference number has not changed.

You should be fine, with VA it usually works on the original ticketing date.

If not when the flight credit, I would just pick up the phone and explain.
